The courtship period is a time to make discoveries about the person you hope to marry. It is crucial during this period that you ascertain whether you are compatible with the person spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and socially.
Ade gave his life to Christ as a teenager in secondary school. He was regular at all fellowship meetings in school and imbibed the teachings of their Chaplain, which bordered on values such as integrity and abstinence from sex before marriage. A naturally bright young man, Ade never cheated in exams and neither was he really interested in ladies. He remained a virgin throughout his secondary school days.
When he gained admission into the university, Ade found that it was a different story entirely where ladies were concerned. He found himself attracted to ladies and being a young man with a good mix of intelligence, decent looks, courtesy and a sense of humour, ladies were drawn to him. He had more than his fair share of female friends and temptations began to arise.
In one instance, he met a lady, during a semester break, with whom he became friendly. The friendlier they became, the more attractive he found her and it soon became obvious to him that the attraction was mutual.
However, he became uncomfortable with his feelings for the lady as he Read the rest of this entry »

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed”- Gen. 12:3
It is a wonderful feeling to be blessed and be a blessing to someone.
God has wonderful blessings and unlimited goodness as His stock in trade. It is God’s blessing that brings quality to our lives. It avails us the much needed prosperity, fruitfulness, family, nourishment, growth, nurture, love, and well-being that we require for the sufficiency of life’s necessities. Good enough, it is God’s desire that we receive His blessings and so when we ask Him to bless us, we are actually asking for what He desires to give us! “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matt. 7:7-8. God daily loads us with His abundant blessings, hence the load of diverse testimonies we hear regularly in church. It is however; important to note that God’s blessings is not limited to finances alone, but includes every aspect of life. His greatest blessing is the forgiveness of sins! Romans 4:7-8 says, “Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”
Often times when we are blessed, we Read the rest of this entry »

When a man desires a woman, he would give anything and say anything to make her give her body to him. Sometimes innocent ladies and even guys don’t know what is going on when members of the opposite sex, especially those they hold in high regard, approach them with lies.
One cannot afford to be ignorant of some of the sly approaches that men and women alike, use to lure others into pre-marital sex. Beneath are a few of these approaches and the right response to them.
The “Love” Approach: This is about the most common of the approaches. Here the guy or the lady equates sex with love and says, “If you love me, you will have sex with me”. The attempt here is to make the other party feel bad about not yielding to sexual pressure. The right response to this is to say, “If you love me you will Read the rest of this entry »

Out of these three great forces that rule the world; faith, hope and love, the greatest is love (I Cor.13:13). Without any form of contradiction, love is definitely one of the greatest assets in a Christian’s life. The love of God is what it takes to fulfill destiny in a grand style. Every genuine lover of God ends up a high-flyer.
Oxford Dictionary defines love as deep affection or fondness. You cannot be in love and not know it. Many are faking the thing we call ‘love’ today. Real love is practical and unpretentious. Not love to be seen or to be known but love that emanates directly from the heart. The Bible says “God is love”. That is, God is not faith but God is love and the more of God’s nature you carry, the more superior life you live. We recognise that love is one of the fruits of the Spirit, but when you are baptised in the Holy Ghost, there is a stirring up of that good quality in your life because love empowerment is one of the vital ministries of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit causes the love of God to burst forth on your inside for profitable living. He comes in like a catalyst and causes a supernatural eruption of the nature of God in you.
Love is the predominant nature of God. Rom.5:5 say, Read the rest of this entry »

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (Jn. 3:16).
Jesus is the reason for the season and he is the epitome of true love. Your days will be bright and your heart will be light. You will experience possibilities of faith. Hope will make things work for you. Love will beautify you. As the birth of Christ brought light to a dark world, may your darkness be lightened this season in Jesus’ name. Amen
The Christmas story is an account retold year after year, yet it never loses its magnificence; it never ceases to fill our hearts with wonder. Christmas is about the Lord our Creator fleshing out his promise to save the world from sin. That gift is named Jesus. Christmas is the celebration of love, generosity, benevolence, kindness, brotherhood, and familial bonding, and the celebration of the joy, peace, and security that those things promote. May the three certainties of Christmas which are –peace, hope, and love fill your heart this season. Amen.
Unlike any other baby, the one born that night in Bethlehem was unique in all of history. Jesus had no glory flashing around him as he entered the world through birth. Though hundreds of years of advertising through Scripture announced his arrival, there were no long lines waiting to greet him. He should have chosen a palace of the wealthiest and most powerful kingdom on earth with deluxe features for birth. But he chose the meekest womb of earth. He preferred a barn for birth. He was born in a place where the animals are fed their food. A message from God to show that He recognizes the lowly. Read the rest of this entry »

“Next to the idea of God, the idea of heaven is the greatest idea that has ever entered into the heart of man, woman, or child”- Professor Peter Kreeft.
All men, lost or saved, have a God given sense of something beyond this life.
What comes to your mind when Heaven is mentioned? What do you think Heaven will be like? Have you ever wondered? What do you know about Heaven? Have you ever been there? If you were asked about what and where Heaven is, what would you say? How would you explain or describe it? Does the thought about Heaven get you depressed at times? Be honest with yourself.
Do you long to go to Heaven? I think that most of us would respond with a loud YES. “To depart and be with Christ is far better than staying on a sin cursed earth” (Phil. 1:23) but why is everyone afraid of death? Tragically, there are many who will like to go to heaven but will never get there. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven(Matt.7:21,NIV) and to remain indifferent to this fact is Read the rest of this entry »

It’s a new month again, glory be to God! May revelations from the almighty God terminate all your frustrations this season. You will move from being a victim to a victor. If you have been hearing and reading about other people’s stories and testimonies, it’s time for others to read yours in the name of Jesus. Amen. There is a good story about you that must be read and heard in your generation, get set to manifest it!
“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law” Deut.29:29. Revelation interpreted from Hebrew means “veil drawn back” simply connoting that restricted access is taken away. There is always a way out of every predicament you may find yourself. Prov. 11:9 says “…Through knowledge shall the just be delivered”. The knowledge of the truth is what guarantees the deliverance of the saints. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”Jn.8:32. It means that our freedom and conquest in life is dependent on the amount of the revelation of the truth that is available to us. Nothing strengthens a man like revelation!
This lifestyle begins with a personal revelation of God to you. Many of us believe and try to build our lives and walk by the explanation of God that we have. No sir! Until God is revealed, you can’t Read the rest of this entry »
