“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed”- Gen. 12:3
It is a wonderful feeling to be blessed and be a blessing to someone.
God has wonderful blessings and unlimited goodness as His stock in trade. It is God’s blessing that brings quality to our lives. It avails us the much needed prosperity, fruitfulness, family, nourishment, growth, nurture, love, and well-being that we require for the sufficiency of life’s necessities. Good enough, it is God’s desire that we receive His blessings and so when we ask Him to bless us, we are actually asking for what He desires to give us! “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matt. 7:7-8. God daily loads us with His abundant blessings, hence the load of diverse testimonies we hear regularly in church. It is however; important to note that God’s blessings is not limited to finances alone, but includes every aspect of life. His greatest blessing is the forgiveness of sins! Romans 4:7-8 says, “Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”
Often times when we are blessed, we Read the rest of this entry »

Out of these three great forces that rule the world; faith, hope and love, the greatest is love (I Cor.13:13). Without any form of contradiction, love is definitely one of the greatest assets in a Christian’s life. The love of God is what it takes to fulfill destiny in a grand style. Every genuine lover of God ends up a high-flyer.
Oxford Dictionary defines love as deep affection or fondness. You cannot be in love and not know it. Many are faking the thing we call ‘love’ today. Real love is practical and unpretentious. Not love to be seen or to be known but love that emanates directly from the heart. The Bible says “God is love”. That is, God is not faith but God is love and the more of God’s nature you carry, the more superior life you live. We recognise that love is one of the fruits of the Spirit, but when you are baptised in the Holy Ghost, there is a stirring up of that good quality in your life because love empowerment is one of the vital ministries of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit causes the love of God to burst forth on your inside for profitable living. He comes in like a catalyst and causes a supernatural eruption of the nature of God in you.
Love is the predominant nature of God. Rom.5:5 say, Read the rest of this entry »

“But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the almighty giveth them understanding.”- Job 32: 8
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”- 2 Tim. 3:16
Is being inspired, something temporary? Like a stream you dip your toe in and out of? Or is inspiration a way of life? What inspires you? What is your soul’s vocation? Do you follow God’s inspiration in taking actions daily or you worry about what others think about you and focus your actions on gaining their approval?
The wisdom of God packaged in the Bible was delivered through inspiration, not intellectualism.”Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”-2Pet.1:20-21.Inspiration is the connection between you and your source; cultivating that connection and preserving it is the key to living an inspired life. The source I talk about here is the divine wisdom that opens up the mental faculties of men. When the wisdom of God is triggered, His creative abilities go into action bringing about the creation of the desirable. “And the earth was without form, and void; … And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”And what was the Read the rest of this entry »

Our History ….like a mustard seed
R.C.C.G., Chapel of Mercy is part of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide founded in Lagos, Nigeria West Africa in 1952 by late Rev. Josiah Akindayomi, its first General Overseer.
The history of The Redeemed Christian Church of God speaks of the marvel of God’s grace. In 1952, Reverend Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi started The Glory of God’s Bible Society (Egbe Ogo Oluwa). Although Rev. Akindayomi was an illiterate, in an open vision, God revealed the name “The Redeemed Christian Church of God” to him and he was asked to copy it down. It was only the next day he gave the drawing to a young man who told him the meaning of the writing. From that small beginning, God began to move His church forward by leaps and bounds.
Before his death, Rev. Akindayomi was led by the Holy Spirit to appoint his successor, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, a PHD holder in applied mathematics and a senior lecturer at the University of Lagos. God began to multiply His church and the church that started with about 13 people in 1952 has grown to over 15,000 parishes in Nigeria alone. R.C.C.G., has presence in over 103 countries today.
Among the numerous parishes established in Lagos, the economic capital of Africa’s most populous nation – Nigeria, is a unique parish named R.C.C.G., Chapel of Mercy. The parish was established by handful of dedicated workers and ministers on the 26th day of September, 2000.
The focus of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Chapel of Mercy (also referred to as “The Potter’s House”) is building a people of purpose and power.
