Out of these three great forces that rule the world; faith, hope and love, the greatest is love (I Cor.13:13). Without any form of contradiction, love is definitely one of the greatest assets in a Christian’s life. The love of God is what it takes to fulfill destiny in a grand style. Every genuine lover of God ends up a high-flyer.

Oxford Dictionary defines love as deep affection or fondness. You cannot be in love and not know it. Many are faking the thing we call ‘love’ today. Real love is practical and unpretentious. Not love to be seen or to be known but love that emanates directly from the heart. The Bible says “God is love”. That is, God is not faith but God is love and the more of God’s nature you carry, the more superior life you live. We recognise that love is one of the fruits of the Spirit, but when you are baptised in the Holy Ghost, there is a stirring up of that good quality in your life because love empowerment is one of the vital ministries of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit causes the love of God to burst forth on your inside for profitable living. He comes in like a catalyst and causes a supernatural eruption of the nature of God in you.

Love is the predominant nature of God. Rom.5:5 say, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us”. This means that whatever cannot stand God, cannot stand anyone carrying God’s nature in a sufficient measure. May the love of God break loose afresh in your life by the enabling of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. Amen.

You cannot make God number one in your affairs and be number last in any situation. Every great story of the kingdom of God is rooted in love. When the love of God overwhelms and comes alive in you, you become a living wonder to everyone around you. The Bible says, “…Eyes hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him”2Cor. 2:9.

We live today in a selfish, self-centered, self-promoting and self-elevating world. That is why many are not in touch with the living wonders of God. The Bible tells us of men who through their addiction to the love of God withstood a whole nation, enjoyed supernatural additions and provoked divine interventions.

You cannot win the heart of God and not make a mark in your life. David was a man after God’s own heart. That is why a whole nation was in pursuit of him and could not get him. “And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will “Acts 13:22. When you win God’s heart, you make a mark without stress or sweat.

Paul the Apostle was another man worthy of emulation. When the love of God is fired up in you, nothing can quench it. Many waters cannot quench the fire of love. The storms and the challenges of life cannot even quench it. You wax stronger under challenges because of the burning love of God in your life and in no time, He turns the table against your enemies. Paul was a love-addict (Rom. 8:35-37). No wonder he went that far in the journey of faith and today we are still talking about him.

The Bible records Solomon as another distinguished man that loved the Lord. “And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice their and a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon sacrificed upon the altar” IKgs. 3:3. You cannot love God and it will not show in your giving. You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving. God bestowed divine wisdom on Solomon and in addition gave him many other things he did not ask for. When you love God, you enter into the realm of supernatural additions. Even the things you don’t ask for are added to decorate your destiny (Matt. 6:33).

Beloved, you need a change of level in your love walk. If you are not yet manifesting the love of God, the journey is still far for you. A man named Job was another man who displayed his addiction to God. Despite so many storms that buffeted him during his life time, he remained steadfast in the love of God. He made up his mind that nothing was going to be able to separate him from the love of his creator. He said, “even though he slays me, I would yet praise Him”. Oh! My God! What level of love addiction is this! Even his wife’s insinuations could not deter him from loving God and from his depth of depravity, the hand of God reached him to repay him seven-fold for his steadfastness.

How about the three Hebrew boys- Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? In the face of death, they boldly declared their love for God, “Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us and He will deliver us from your hand, O king Nebuchadnezzar”. They were saying ‘this fire cannot separate us from Him’. And as they cast them into the furnace, the forth man appeared. He arrived in the fire before them and instead of being burnt; they were worshipping the Majesty of Our God because of His love that never fails. Nothing provokes divine intervention like the love of God. When the love of God is burning in your heart, you are provoking God to intervene in your life.

Jesus Christ was the epitome of love. You could see compassion manifesting through every phase of His earthly ministry. When He got to where Lazarus was buried, the Bible says, He wept. The people said ‘Oh how He loved him’Jn. 11:35-36. Little wonders his ministry was plagued with miracles! When you walk in love, you not only experience wonders, you also manifest wonders!

You cannot walk in the love of God if you have not accepted the love of God. If you have not accepted Jesus into your heart, now is the time to do so (Jn. 3:16). His love for you is everlasting and his hands are waiting to receive you into the kingdom right now (Rom. 5:8).Whatever your situation is, as you make up your mind to walk in the love of God this season, your love for God will bring you out of every undesirable situation and make you to walk tall in the name of Jesus. Amen.
